Find a Christian Science Practitioner
Practitioners are experienced Christian Scientists devoted to the full-time healing ministry of prayer. People reach out to them for help with physical healing as well as challenges relating to business, relationships, and many other aspects of life. Practitioners are available by phone, email, or in person — and because their healing work rests on prayer, they don’t need to be physically present to help.

What is a Christian Science Practitioner?
A practitioner is one who is practicing spiritual law: the law of God, the law of good. Much as an attorney prepares a case through study of the law, a practitioner prepares through consistent, dedicated study of the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Through prayer, the practitioner gently lifts thought away from fear and discord to the spiritual facts of being — affirming each individual’s innocence and perfection as a child of God until the false, material sense yields and healing is realized. Practitioners are listed in The Christian Science Journal after completing specific training.
This healing ministry has deep biblical roots. Abraham prayed for Abimelech, “and God healed Abimelech” (Genesis 20:17); Moses’ prayer freed his sister Miriam from leprosy; and Elijah and Elisha both healed through prayer. The greatest practitioner of all was Christ Jesus, whose healing works fill the four Gospels. Christian Science practitioners today carry forward this same ministry of Christian healing.
